About API usernames

The first part of the ImageOptim API URL is a username of an API accout. It identifies who is making the request. It enables personalized options and helps us when troubleshooting.

The username is public. You don't need to keep it secret.

We generate usernames randomly when you sign up. Get in touch if you want to change your username, merge or delete accounts.
